Supporting Mental Health Through Community Connection
This week, TAG Live® is joining organisations nationwide in recognising Mental Health Awareness Week (12–18 May) – a time to focus on how community and connection can play a vital role in supporting mental wellbeing.
With this year’s theme centred around Community, we’re taking the opportunity to remind our team members that none of us are alone. Connection, whether at work, with friends, or within local groups, can make a tangible difference to our mental health.
”We thrive when we have strong connections with others and supportive communities around us.

Why Community Matters for Mental Health
According to the Mental Health Foundation, feeling connected to others can:
- Reduce stress and anxiety
- Improve overall wellbeing and happiness
- Provide a support network during challenging times
Research shows that 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health issue each year, making it more important than ever to foster connections and build supportive spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued.
How TAG Live® is Supporting Mental Health Awareness Week
At TAG Live®, we believe in the power of community – both within our team and across the wider industry.
To mark this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re asking our team to:
- Wear green to show their support for mental health awareness
- Share a selfie wearing green, holding signs with messages of Support, Connect, Care
If You’re Struggling, You’re Not Alone
Mental health support is available, and reaching out is a sign of strength. If you or someone you know is struggling, the Mental Health Foundation offers resources and guidance on how to access support.
